3D Printing w/ Ultimaker In-Person

An introduction to slicing software and 3D printing with Ultimaker printers. Learn how to convert STL files (3D models) into step-by-step printing instructions (G-Code) using Cura. Get hands-on experience with a 3D printer and print the custom fidget spinner toy you designed in the "3D CAD w/ Fusion 360" workshop (a pre-requisite of this workshop). After taking this workshop you are certified to use our Ultimaker 3D printers during drop-in hours. Refer to the makerspace calendar to find when this workshop is offered.

You will learn:
 - To generate G-Code using Ultimaker Cura ("Slicing" Software)
 - To start, pause, abort a 3D print
 - Cleaning up (post-processing) a 3D print
 - Rules and Safety Protocols

Before attending this workshop:
